Committee
The Executive Committee of PIMA is made up of industry professionals who possess extensive manufacturing knowledge and business acumen.
Members of the committee are elected annually at the AGM and serve on the committee for 12 months. Participation in committee meetings provides an opportunity to interact with people at a similar level within the industry and it is one way to contribute and add value to the industry. There is a high level of camaraderie among committee members who are working to meet the goals and the vision as outlined on the “about” page.

Laszlo Magyar began his career in the plastic industry in 1979 working for a New Zealand company at the time called AHI Plastics. Laszlo was apprenticed as a product and mould designer. During his apprenticeship he received training in Design, Toolmaking, Injection Moulding, Blow Moulding, Rotary Moulding, Vacuum Forming and Printing. He then went on to complete his apprenticeship and NZCE in Mechanical Engineering. He moved from the design office to the factory floor as a module supervisor looking after processing equipment in blow moulding. He then relocated to Australia and took up a role with Rheem as a Process Engineer. In 1986 Laszlo accepted a position with Roblan Pty Limited an Injection moulding company in the inner city of Sydney as the Production Manager and progressed to his current position of Director Plastic Moulding which he has held for some 20 years.

I have been the Managing Director of Galvano Plastics (Sales) Pty Ltd since 1985. I was elected to the PIMA Committee in 1994 as Assistant Treasurer, became Treasurer in 1995 and then took on the joint role of Secretary/Treasurer in 1999 and still continue in that joint role to the present.

Craig is an injection moulder with more than 40 years of experience in custom moulding. Having completed his trade in toolmaking, Craig went into business with his father and the partnership remains today, but now extends to include his two brothers. Together the family operates the international award winning Sydney based manufacturing company C&C Plastics and Toolmaking.

My career began in quality management then led to purchasing raw materials for PVC compounds then transitioned to technical sales and business development. I traded in recycled polymer materials, both post consumer and post industrial grades with Sims Metal Management for over 7 years. I am now working across a diverse range of polymer materials from Duromer Products.

I have over 40 years' experience in manufacturing industries with the last 15 years as the General Manager of the R.E. Davison Group who are experts in injection, compression and transfer moulding of Thermoset, Thermoplastics and Composites materials. I also have 25 years' experience in tier 1 suppliers to the automotive industry in product, process and systems design and development.
I am a Board Member (representing PIMA) of the NSW Industry Training Advisory Body (ITAB) and I am the chair (representing PIMA) of the Process Manufacturing, Recreational Vehicles and Lab Ops Industrial Reference Committee.

Stephen Dawkins has an extensive background in plastics which began in 1974 in toolmaking followed by many years spent in the design of components and their associated tooling. He continues his work in the industry through his position as Head Teacher of Polymers at Lidcombe College, SWSi TAFE. In this position he manages training for the industry which covers the disciplines of injection moulding, blow moulding and extrusion with courses ranging from Certificate 1 in Polymer Processing through to a Diploma in Polymer Technology. Along with these mainstream courses, he has developed and run short course specifically for PIMA. Stephen has been a director of PIMA since 2007 and is committed to providing quality educational and training programs for the industry together with his work on the PIMA Board.

Andrew has over 10 years’ experience in Plastics Injection moulding operations and production. Currently working as Operations Manager for PPC Moulding Services and L.J.Wallace Group. Over 30 years’ experience in the manufacturing sector from heavy industry to light industrial. Completed MBA at University Of Western Sydney, along with other numerous qualifications within manufacturing. Projects include complete injection moulding plant set up from ground up, including the latest technics and technology.

Robert Vidler
Membership
Robert has had over 15 years experience injection and compression moulding. He holds a Advanced Diploma in Polymer Technology and was awarded the PIMA young achiever award in 2018. He is the founder and CEO of AusiPack Australia and Director of M&D Plastics.
